The Ontario Lacrosse Festival is looking for enthusiastic high school and post-secondary students to join the 2026 Ontario Lacrosse Festival Experience Team.
This is more than a volunteer opportunity. Experience Team members work alongside Ontario Lacrosse staff and volunteers to help create an unforgettable experience for thousands of athletes, coaches, officials, families, and fans attending the world's largest youth lacrosse event.
Whether you're interested in sports, events, communications, media, customer service, or simply want to gain experience while earning volunteer hours, we'd love to hear from you.
This opportunity is ideal for students who are energetic, dependable, enjoy working with people, and aren't afraid to step outside their comfort zone. As many roles involve multiple shifts over several days, preference will be given to applicants who live in Durham Region or will be staying in the area during the Festival.
Experience Team members may assist with:

Perform as the Ontario Lacrosse mascot (making it’s debut at the Festival!)
Be a mascot handler during mascot appearances
Help create memorable experiences for athletes and families

Welcome visitors at the Ontario Lacrosse tent outside Iroquois Park
Answer questions and provide directions
Celebrate first-time participants by presenting "My First Festival" certificates
Assist with Festival information and activities

Capture behind the scenes content for Instagram reels and stories
Help produce player profile features by approaching athletes, taking their photo, and collecting profile information
Assist Ontario Lacrosse's social media team throughout the Festival

Operate music during games
Support championship medal presentations
Help create an exciting game-day atmosphere

Organize medals and awards
Assist with championship presentations
Coordinate teams before medal ceremonies

Welcome teams during check-in
Assist OLA Registration volunteers
Support GameSheet setup
The Ontario Lacrosse Festival Experience Team is a limited volunteer opportunity.
Applicants will be selected based on availability, communication skills, enthusiasm, and suitability for specific roles. Completing an application does not guarantee selection.
